Obituary for Jackie Rumsby
RUMSBY, Jacqueline “Jackie” (nee Blazetich) – Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the age of 82 .
Beloved wife for 62 years of the late John William “Jack” Rumsby (December 2017). Cherished mother of Rick Rumsby (Rosanne), Chuck Rumsby (Shelley), Terri Cooke (Steve) and Vicki Rumsby (Andy Huber). She will be sadly missed by her five grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by the “daughter of her heart” Peggy Fournier and “sister-in-law of her heart” Edith Stortz. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her parents, brothers Wilfred and Jim and by her grandson Shane.
Jackie lived her life with quiet dignity and endless kindness. She devoted her life to caring for her family and leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Saturday, May 19th beginning at 10 a.m. Father Vijay Amirtharaj c.s.c. will conduct a funeral service in the Cudney Chapel at 11:30 a.m. followed by Rite of Committal at Holy Cross Cemetery.
