BISHOP, Madeleine - It is with heavy hearts but with profound thanksgiving for a life well lived that the family of Madeleine Bishop announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Andrew “Andy” Bishop (2004). Cherished mother of Maureen Carter (Gord), Doris Maxwell (Fred Pitt), Gregory Bishop (Deanna), Karen Trasmundi (Tom), Suzanne Ottaviano (Maurice) and the late Keith and Jocelyne Bishop. Proud and loving grandmother of Nicole, Kathryn (Jason), Sammy (Sara), Danny, Adam (Spencer), Justin (Maxine), Kyrstal (Jeff), Vanessa (Kash), Nathan (Annie) and the late Travis. Great-grandmother of Hailey, Jake, Ryan, Layne, Arkell, Elie, Tevan, Serenity, Ethan and great great-grandmother of Toby.
Madeleine devoted her life entirely to her family and loved them more than life itself. She leaves a legacy of love, kindness and strength through her family that is beyond measure.
Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate and honour Madeleine’s life will be held at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Monday, January 8th at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service, beginning at 10 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Muscular Dystrophy would be appreciated by the family.
