Obituary for Mary Eleanor Edna "Nellie" Beaulieu
BEAULIEU, Mary Eleanor Edna “Nellie” (nee Bristow)- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nana and great grandmother, Eleanor (Nellie) Beaulieu, at the Port Colborne Hospital on Tuesday October 24, 2017. She is survived by her five children; Daniel J (Anne), Keith (Alex), Katherine Duguay, Kevin (Kathleen), Ken (Orie), her seven grandchildren; Anielle (Adam), Jesse (Brittany), Britany Duguay (Dan), Shannon Duguay (Tennyson), Jordan Duguay (Nathan), Tara Beaulieu, Nathan Beaulieu and her two great grandchildren; Taiya and Trystan Knight. Predeceased by her loving husband Daniel Antonio Beaulieu and by her parents John Arthur George (Jack) Bristow and Elizabeth Clancy.
Respecting Nellie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, October 27th from 1 – 2 p.m. A service to celebrate Nellie’s life will begin at 2 p.m. in the Cudney Chapel followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, just ask for hugs! That was Nellie’s great Scottish tradition along with her love of shopping for clothes and decorating for each and every holiday.
Grateful thanks to the devoted staff at Plymouth Cordage Retirement Home over the past 4 years where many became such good friends, to those who served Mom for years from the West Main Pharmacy and to the kindest paramedics on Oct 10th from the Welland and Port Colborne Hospitals, we appreciate your care and compassion.
