RISTINE, Helen Winnifred (nee Ector) –
With Gerald, her loving husband of over 62 years by her side, Helen passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 21, 2017 in her 82nd year. She is reunited with her cherished son Timothy James who predeceased her in 2012. Dear sister of Eleanor Kimber and Brian Ector and mother-in-law of Maria Ristine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ray and Emily Ector.
Helen was employed in the cafeteria at the Welland Hospital for many years, retiring in 1997. She touched the lives of everyone who fondly remembers her kindness, genuine smile, warmth, and gracious manner. With a gentle spirit, she was always willing to help those in need.
A very special thank you to the nurses from the 3rd and 6th Floor at the Welland Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
Respecting Helen’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
