Obituary for Mark Hall

HALL, Mark – Passed away, peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 59. Mark spent his final days surrounded by his loved ones. He is predeceased by his son Justin (May 2017) and his parents Rita and Gerald. He is survived by his daughter Miranda (Raymond Boilard) and his granddaughters Angela and Rosaline. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Jeff, David and Jerry and their families.

Mark was proudly employed at Atlas Steels for many years as a Machinist. Music was his true passion. A talented singer and guitar player his “claim to fame” was his band, the Bluescasters. Even though his short term memory was taken from him in 2009, he loved to reminisce about his days with the band and cherished that period of his life and the friends he made. Mark always remained positive and never complained about the hand that he had been dealt. Even while living with cancer this last year, he never gave up and started each day with a smile on his face. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched throughout his life.

The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Monday, August 21st from 5 – 7 p.m. A service to celebrate Mark’s life will follow in the Cudney Chapel beginning at 7p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Pathstone Mental Health.

Mark’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff and residents at the Woodlands of Sunset where he resided for the last seven years. Also, to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their exceptional care and support during his last days.
