Obituary for Sybil Costello (Glass)
COSTELLO, Sybil – It is with profound sadness that the family of Sybil Costello announces her peaceful passing at the Welland Hospital on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in her 58th year. Beloved wife and best friend of Kevin. Cherished mother of Crystal Kobe (Jeff), Jeremy Daniel Costello (Araba Arhin) and Zoey Costello. Dear sister of Karen German. Predeceased by her infant children Brandon and Angel.
Sybil had an energy, vitality and zest for life that was uncommon and truly set her apart. Her life was built around her family and friends and she treasured the time she spent with them. She volunteered at the Tea Room in Port Colborne and enjoyed decorating the family home, gardening and taking in the peaceful tranquility of their country property. Sybil had an unwavering faith and devotion to Jesus Christ. She faced her illness and her death with strength, courage, dignity, and an undying love for her Savior. During her life on earth she always looked heaven bound because she knew this wasn't her permanent home. She fought the good fight, she finished the race, and she kept the faith. She now rests in the loving arms of her Lord who welcomed His good and faithful servant to her heavenly home.
The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, August 4th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A service to celebrate Sybil’s life will be held at Rice Road Community Church, 305 Rice Road, Welland on Saturday, August 5th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
