Obituary for Bruna Gajdek
GAJDEK, Bruna – Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Branko “Jim” (2006). Cherished mother of Eva Gould (David) and Willy Gajdek (Mary-Anne). Loving grandmother of Evan, Brittney and Erica McAuley (Matthew) .Dear sister of Marcella Brozich (Milan), Idea Masina (late Vijeko) and Benny Rusgnak (Hazel). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Croatia. Predeceased by her brother Tony Rusgnak (Mary) and sister Antonietta (Sime).
Bruna touched many lives with her quiet, kind and generous nature. Her greatest joy was her family and she delighted in spoiling them with her excellent cooking skills on many memorable occasions. She was immensely proud of her children. As her family grew, her grandchildren became the apple of her eye. Although she will be sadly missed, her legacy of love will live on forever.
The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, July 21st from 2- 4 & 6 -8 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 2 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Croatian Roman Catholic Parish of St. Anthony of Padova, 360 River Road, Welland on Saturday, July 22nd at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
