FORTIER, Fleurette (née Plante) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Bert Fortier. Pre-deceased by first husband Jean-Claude Labelle. Cherished mother of late Laurent (Luc) Labelle, Laurent (Marc) Labelle (Thérèse), Michel Labelle (Maria) and the late Yvan. Step-mother of Jeannette, Michael Fortier and Kim Blanchard (Dave). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Gabriel, Patrick (Nikki), Mireille, Francine (Mike Nowell), Willaim (Monique), Gilles, Alain, Cory and Jason, her great-grandchildren Misty, Katie, William, Adam, Annie, John, Marc, Elizabeth, Nicholas. Dear sister of Claire Brassard (late Yvon), Annette Labelle (late Raymond), Rodrigue (Jeanne), Christine Haymes (Doug) , Dorilé Plante(Gaëtane), Cécile Fournier (late Marcel), Gilles Plante (late Thérèse), Hubert Plante (late Chantal), Yvon Plante (Linda), Étienne Plante (Diane), Maurice Plante (Susan) , Claude Plante (Cathy), Camille Plante (Dawn) and Roch Plante (Brenda). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, Maria Rose (née Lapierre) and William Plante, and brothers Albias Plante (Gisèle), Marcel Plante (late Flore), Fernand Plante (late Berthe) and Vital Plante (late Normande). The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, April 28th from 5 – 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday April 29th beginning at 10 a.m. A Funeral Service, conducted by Father Vijay Amirtharaj c.s.c will be held in the Cudney Chapel at 11 a.m. followed by Rite of Committal at Holy Cross Cemetery.
