Obituary for Barbara Beck (Nagy)

BECK, Barbara (nee Nagy) - It is with heavy hearts but with profound thanksgiving for a life well lived that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother Barbara Beck on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Victor Beck (1991). Cherished mother of Roger Beck (Cecile), Arnold Beck (Dorothy), Chuck Beck (Carol) and Dianne Stevens (Lorne). Sadly missed by her ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Vera Ursaki and Rose Weaver. Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Theresa Nagy and daughter Darlene (1954). Barbara immigrated to Canada in 1928 and settled in Welland in 1949. She was a cashier at Dominion Store and Food City for many years. Barbara lived everyday to the fullest and had a love for life like no other. She was always the life of the party and never failed to make you feel like you were the most important person in the world to her. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren were the light of her life and her spirit and legacy will live on in them. The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, February 17th beginning at 11 a.m. A memorial service, celebrating Barbara’s life will be held in the Cudney Chapel at 1 p.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
