ARTHUR, Irene Esther - It is with profound sadness that the family of Irene Arthur announces her peaceful passing at Rapelje Lodge on Monday February 6, 2017 after a long battle with dementia. Loving mother of Brian and his wife Karen. Proud grandmother of Trevor (Meaghan Gizuk) and Jennifer (Chris) and great-grandmother of Emma. Predeceased by her parents George and Esther Arthur. The family will receive friends at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, February 10th at 12 noon followed by a Memorial Service, conducted by Reverend Dr. John Course of St. David’s Anglican Church, at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow and a private burial will take place at a later date. A special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Rapelje Lodge for their excellent care and compassion shown to Irene.
