BUCKNER, Theresa Laurette (nee Gaboury) – Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Robert Buckner (1983). Cherished mother of Robert Charles Buckner, Morris John Buckner and Joanne Charlotte Buckner. Proud grandmother of Chuck Buckner, Sarah Buckner (Andrew Jack), Caroline Dagenais (Martin) and great-grandmother of Thomas Richard and Lila Jane Dagenais and Michael Alexander Jack. Dear sister of Bill Gaboury (Gloria) and sister-in-law of Doug Shultz. Sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Lois Buckner and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Emile and Blanche Gaboury, siblings; Charles Gaboury (Isabel), Jeanne Gaboury, Pauline Anthony, Philip Gaboury (Rose), Morris Gaboury (Lillian) and Madeline Shultz. Theresa retired as a Custodian with the District School Board of Niagara after over 20 years of service. She had a passion for travel and following her retirement she set out on many adventures, around the globe, with her cousin Frances. Theresa loved her family unconditionally and was immensely proud of each of them. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. with visitation two hours prior beginning at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
