Notice: PARROTTA, Giovanna - Surrounded by her adoring family, Giovanna Parrotta “Mama Jo” passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her home, Rapelje Lodge in Welland. Predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe “Papa Joe” and son Danny. Cherished mother of Guy (Ferne), Gretta, Lina, Phyllis, Josy, Janie (Donny Montean), Pat and David. Proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren and ten (and counting) great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Maria Spano, and brothers, Paolo Minniti and Pasquale Minniti (Carmela). Predeceased by her sisters Annina Battaglia, Angelina Carbone and brother Ciccio. Mama Jo, you were exemplary in life and so deserve the reunion you are now enjoying with your loved ones who went before you. The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Wednesday, October 5th, between and 4 and 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Thursday, October 6th at 11 a.m. followed by entombment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
