SNELLING, Nora Margaret (Caldwell) – Passed away, peacefully, surrounded by her family at Northland Pointe on Monday, September 19, 2016 at the age of 98. She was a graduate of the Hospital for Sick Children Class of ‘39F. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Walter Snelling (1999), daughters Barbara Snelling (1988) and Patricia Alexander (2001). Survived by her son William Garth Snelling (Coral) of Welland, daughter Susan Barr (Walter) of Richmond Hill and son-in-law David Alexander. Loving grandmother of Michael Alexander, Cheryl Miller (Ted), Elisha Snelling and Sheighla, Alexandra and Brittany Barr. Great-grandmother of Emily and Liam Milne and Owen Miller. Predeceased by her parents William and Dorothy Caldwell of Grande Prairie, Alberta and brother Jack Caldwell of Sidney, B.C. Respecting Nora’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, October 14th beginning at 3 p.m. A private interment in the family plot at Fonthill Cemetery will be held at a later date.
